More than 50 former Wallaroos players, coaches, administrators, and support staff from various eras gathered in Brisbane with their families on Sunday for a very special reunion event.
It was fantastic to see old teammates and friends reconnect - some after more than 25 years - and recount their time involved with Wallaroos Rugby.
The event was the second official instalment in our '30 Years of the Wallaroos' celebrations, following the initial gathering in Sydney on 11 May. The significance of the event was highlighted by the fact that a number of people attended both, as some travelled south for the initial event, whilst a number of NSW-based Wallaroos headed north to this one.
The event was possible thanks to the support of The Rugby Club Foundation and featured an exhibition of Wallaroos jerseys over the years, supplied by Selena Tranter (née Worsley) from some of her 24 tests over 16 years) along with a collection of bios, photos and more from throughout the Wallaroos' history.
The group then headed to Ballymore to support the Wallaroos in their test match against the Black Ferns.
