The Queensland Rugby Union (QRU) is pleased to announce that existing IT & Technology Partner Rivernet Communications have increased their commitment to the Queensland Reds, upgrading their partnership to proudly feature the Rivernet logo on the sleeve of the Queensland Reds playing jersey for the remainder of the calendar year.

A key partner of the Ballymore redevelopment, providing hardware and cloud solutions and enduring as a permanent tenant of the BMS National Rugby Training Centre, Rivernet first committed to partnering with the Reds for a three-year term in November 2022.

Their latest move will see the Brisbane-founded and wholly-based business adorn the sleeve of the Queensland Reds Men’s playing jersey for the fixtures against Wales at Suncorp Stadium (Friday July 19), against Tonga in Nuku’alofa (Saturday July 27), and in the two fixtures scheduled against the Saitama Panasonic Wild Knights in Japan this coming October & November, where there will be a full cap fixture after a warm-up match, just as there has been in 2022 and 2023.

Importantly, Rivernet’s logo will also be proudly displayed on the Reds Women’s playing jersey as they play their first ever match outside of Australia against the Tongan Women’s National team on Saturday July 27. Rivernet’s commitment to excellence can already be recognised in their significant contribution to the Women In Digital network.

QRU Head of Commercial & Content, Pete Fairbairn, said that Rivernet had proven themselves to be a terrific partner time and time again.

“Gideon Street, Scott Kirk, Brooke Powell and the entire Rivernet team continue to demonstrate a love of Rugby and Queensland, and we’re extremely grateful for their outstanding support of our organisation,” Fairbairn said.

“We love having them inside the BMS Centre with us every day, and our Men’s and Women’s players will be privileged to wear their logo on their playing jerseys as they embark on a momentous run of fixtures against international opponents.”

Director of Rivernet, Gideon Street, said partnering with QRU has been a has been a wonderful journey.

“From the initial onboarding, across every game and function to these International matches, every step along the partnership shows how much the QRU cares about their partners, and always go above and beyond to ensure everyone has a great time and gets value from their partnerships," he said.

“Being able to work at the Ballymore precinct is great; being surrounded by trees, grass and players training is a nice distraction from the laptop and spreadsheets.

"We also get to see the enormous effort that gets put in behind the scenes to ensure the Queensland Reds have great opportunities such as these international games. We're looking forward to cheering the players on at each of the upcoming games.”
